Before you lecture me on the price, that’s what I paid for it and it’s also cheaper than just about every other S10 available in the area. For some reason, trucks around here are ridiculously overpriced.

The 4.3 is a tough motor and regularly goes well over 200,000 miles.

I know a coworker with a 4.3 chevy with over 200k on it. I’m trying to convince him that we need to turbo it.

Iirc, he had that annoying long arc with his ABS sensor, now he needs a new exhaust and cat on a vehicle worth a couple grand. It's a well thought-out, pragmatic decision.

I remember selling my 98 in 2009. It needed so much work, couldn't hit 70 mph going downhill and barely got 15 mpg. But, damn I miss that truck.

The exhaust issues lead me to it. It just needs some work. Nothing major but more than I am able to or that I care to do at this point.

I’m going to get something else with the money I get out of it. Hopefully another little truck but they’re all insanely overpriced around here.

I’m already having second thoughts and anxiety about getting rid of it. Mostly because I don’t want to not have a beater vehicle. I’d like to get another truck with the money I get from this one but I doubt I can.
